Ferial is a Materials Scientist/Corrosion Engineer specialising in materials characterisation, failure investigation, corrosion analysis, and tribology. She has extensive experience assessing the performance and degradation of metallic, polymeric, and elastomeric materials, delivering practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Her expertise includes failure investigations, corrosion assessments, metallurgical analysis, metallography, mechanical and tribological (wear) testing, and materials performance evaluation to support asset integrity, reliability, and materials selection.
Before joining TECHT, Ferial worked across industry and research environments, contributing to projects in the mining, energy, manufacturing, and resources sectors. Her experience spans materials performance evaluation, drilling fluid development, solid separation technologies, and applied research delivered in collaboration with industry partners.
Ferial holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, with research focused on the tribology of elastomeric materials, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal publications and conference papers.
